4.8.12:: Got to watch ‘Cirque Du Soleil Totem’ today and wow…it was the most amazing thing I have seen in a long time. Definitely worth watching.

There are TONS of places to eat in downtown Seattle even in Pike Place market alone. What is the best way to try out Seattle’s famous food spots in one day than to food hop??? After some intense yelping/googling/asking friends…we made up a list of 7 places to hit.

1) Beecher’s Handmade Cheese
- Mac and cheese
- Not usually a fan of mac and cheese but this is the BEST one I have ever had.

2) Piroshky Piroshky
- Smoked Salmon Piroshky
- This russian bakery is a must-go!

3) Daily Dozen Doughnut Company
- Assorted Donuts
- Cute little stand with a long line!

4) Pike Place Chowder
- New England Clam Chowder
- SOOOO good….cute server too ;]
- Small seating area turned out to be a good thing! Ended up sitting next to a couple from Wales (Brinley and Cheryl), both with the cutest British accent. Had the best 40 minute conversation with them while enjoying our clam chowder!

5) Original 1912 Starbucks
- Iced white mocha
- The original brown logo is interesting

6) The Crumpet Shop
- Homemade Nutella Crumpet
- Homemade nutella was spot-on!

7) Gourmet Dog Japon
- Matsuri and Kabuki
- Couldn’t find it the first time and was going to skip it but luckily found this cute hotdog stand on our walk back to the hotel.
- Who would of thought such ingredients would be so good on a hotdog???
I had the chance to travel to Seattle, Washington this past week. In my opinion if you are looking to take a short 2-3 day vacation, Seattle is just the spot. Aside from the state’s notorious rainy weather forecast…the food is delicious and the locals are very friendly.
Steak, potatoes, and asparagus. My brother and sister are the best…
